Selling Items on Slide Collector
We are a community of people who love slides!
As in every community, your integrity and honor are all you have when others speak
of you or deal with you. Below please find some simple guidelines to help you be
the best community member you can be.
SLIDES- All auction slides are assumed to be Kodachrome slides unless otherwise stated.
If not kodachrome, please state exactly which type of slide it is. When inputting the
slide’s description, please use a quality loupe and state any shortcomings with your
auction slide. Some examples include: scratches, marks, blurry, telephoto, basically
any and all imperfections you see with the slide so that the person buying your slide
is not surprised with any shortcoming which you did not mention in your description.
When scanning your slide, try to show the borders, this is very important as many slide
collectors look for full frame slides. Additionally, do not lighten up your slide in
Photoshop to show it brighter than it actually is.
PRINTS- Please read the above information regarding slides as the same general information
applies. Additional prints suggestions: Please state if the print is standard lab
print, inkjet or dye-sub.
All other auction items- Please use clear descriptions and be forthcoming with any
imperfections with your item.
This page further outlines the process of listing items for sale, and managing your
auction items during and after the sale. Our site features auction software
that has many extra features that will allow you to easily manage and promote
your listings.
